About Browsers

Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 3.0 and higher support Java. Earlier versions and many other browsers do not support Java. If you are using a browser that does not support java we recommend you upgrade your browser.

How to Enabled Java Support in Browsers

Netscape

To enable Java in Netscape Navigator 4.0, select PREFERENCES from the EDIT menu. In the sidebar, click on ADVANCED. In the new window that appears, make sure that both ENABLE JAVA and ENABLE JAVASCRIPT have a checkmark next to them. Click the OK button.

If you are using Netscape Navigator version 3.0, select NETWORK PREFERENCES from the OPTIONS menu. Click on the LANGUAGES tab. Make sure that both ENABLE JAVA and ENABLE JAVASCRIPT have a checkmark next to them. Click the OK button.

Microsoft

To enable Java in Internet Explorer version 3.0, select OPTIONS from the VIEW menu and click on the SECURITY tab. Make sure that ENABLE JAVA PROGRAMS has a checkmark next to it. Click the OK button.

Windows XP users will need to download a java machine application to see java images.  Due to recent lawsuits Microsoft no longer includes the required programming for java imaging.  You can go to the Microsoft site for more information.  A free download is available at www.java.com.  Click on the image below to get a java machine program.
